Analytical Chemists (Petrochemicals)

Our SE based client are actively recruiting for a number of Analytical Chemists to carry out testing on a range of petrochemical products.

 

Duties for this position will include :-

 

- Performing a range of tests / analyses using analytical, wet chemistry and physical testing techniques to confirm physical and chemical properties of oil samples

- Preparing standards / samples

- Ensuring that all tests are conducted in agreement with established procedures and quality standards

- Timely reporting of results - ensuring customer satisfaction

- Producing reports for samples tested

- Assisting with Method Development

- Meeting objectives and ensuring KPIs are met

- Calibrating, maintaining instrumentation, including organising repair / maintenance by Engineers

- Ensuring that documented risk and COSHH assessments are followed at all times

 

Note - some of these positions will involve working on a shift pattern working the following hours :-

 

2 days shifts 7am - 7pm

2 night shifts 7pm - 7am

4 days off

Cycle repeat x 7

18 days off

 

Applications are invited from candidates with a HNC / BSc in Chemistry (or related subject) together with previous suitable skills and experience.

 

These are permanent positions, offering salaries of up to £28,000, inclusive of shift allowance (depending on skills and experience)
