Food Thermal Process Specialist
My Gloucestershire based client is an industry-leading company in food research and innovation. They are looking for an expert in food thermal processing to join their expanding team due to continued success. For the purposes of this role, food thermal processing encompasses heat processing (e.g. sterilisation, pasteurisation and cooking), chilling and freezing. Experience with any or all of the above is required.
Your role will be to provide technical input to the development, planning and execution of client research projects and training contracts. In addition, your will be required to assist the business development team in identifying and pursuing new consultancy, training and research opportunities. You will be the point of contact for client queries, and will be required to lead seminars, conferences and training courses. Training and support of junior staff is expected to form part of the role as the department continues to grow.
Qualifications and competencies we are looking for include:
-Degree or equivalent in food science, technology or engineering
-Around 5 years relevant experience of food thermal processing within the wider food industry
-A proven track record of excellent communication skills through delivering training, seminars or conferences
-Strong ability to communicate at all levels including technical and non-technical audiences
-Thorough knowledge and commercial awareness of the food industry
-Willingness to travel and a UK Driving license are essential!
Salary: £30-£35,000 per annum plus benefits
