Our client, global experts on marine pollution minimisation and environmental impact assessment, are currently seeking to add to their Marine Pollution Advisory Team with the recruitment of a multilingual Technical Pollution Adviser.

Based out of the global Headquarters in London your role will be to provide pollution control  advice on oil and chemical spillages within the marine environment on a global basis.  As an immediate responder you will be on call to attend incident sites when required providing technical advice on oil & chemical spills, clean up strategy as well as liaising with senior public sector officials, media and scientists regarding impact and damage. Additionally you will take part in contamination surveys and providing training and support when required.  The ability to manage time critical projects and remain calm in a crisis is essential.

It is envisaged that the successful applicant will be educated to MSc level or above within a relevant discipline (Environmental Science, Hydrology, Oceanography, Marine Biology, etc) and ideally possess relevant experience within a commercial environment.

A genuine passion for the marine or aquatic environmental and pollution is required. Excellent verbal communication in English is required, additional language skills would be highly advantageous. Due to the nature of this position the ability to travel globally at short notice is essential.

Candidates must have full right to work in the UK with no travel restrictions.
