Our client is a large food company based working within research, development, analysis and sensory testing of a range of food products.


They are currently looking for an experienced scientist to join their team as a Chromatography Technician.  The role is ideally suited to a candidate looking to work in a laboratory environment with chemical contaminants and contact contamination from packaging materials in order to improve their customers products and analyse any leaching potential for new materials being used.


You will be responsible for developing methods in response to customer briefs and validating methods for testing within the laboratory.  You will need to be familiar with current legislation for leaching and contact with food products and advise clients accordingly. You will need to keep highly accurate records and be able to invoice clients for work done without supervision. You should have some laboratory experience and have a good degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.  This position would suit candidates with a year of industrial experience and a genuine interest in the food manufacturing environment and improving food quality.


This company are based within a commutable distance of the counties of Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and West Midlands.  Due to the location of the company, candidates should have access to their own transport.
