Our client is a prestigious consultancy company working within research, new product development, analysis and sensory testing and providing advice and training to the food and beverage industry. They have a solid reputation in the Food and Beverage Sector for providing their expertise and training across the sector.  An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sensory Scientist to work in their Consumer and Sensory Sciences Department to deliver training programmes both internally and externally in collaboration with the group's central training function.

You will be expected to leverage your expertise to deliver presentations on scheduled and tailored consumer and sensory courses to both internal and external delegates.  You will also provide course development and administrative support for projects pre and post courses and develop materials for delivery and the associated presentations.  You will also support your manager with identification and acquisition of new business opportunities and progress the development of the section.  You will manage project recovery rates and contribute to the management of the financial performance of the section and its success.  You will assist in organising seminars and conferences and contribute to the broader development of the section in consumer and sensory science.  You will also be proactive in reviewing current practices and policies to continually improve methods and suggest new ways of working.

You should be: -

Degree qualified in a food science or related subject
5 years+ experienced sensory scientist
Qualified in the field of Sensory Science - minimum IFST Foundation Course
Have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Be able to prepare and deliver course materials in a variety of formats and across a range of learning environments
Proven skills in managing priorities and concurrent activities to achieve deadlines
Highly adaptable to changing priorities
Hold a full UK driving licence
