Our Client is a leading light in the food industry driving innovation and high quality in all that it does.  As a result, it has an excellent reputation and is one of the most respected companies in its field.  A rare opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced and talented Food Microbiology professional with a passion for ensuring excellence in quality and maintaining only the highest of standards as a Field Based Auditor/ Assessor to ensure that company maintains its highest standards through its accreditation schemes.


You should have extensive experience of working with CLAS and ISO17025 standards and recognised and proven knowledge is the food microbiology arena.


You should have a full and complete understanding of the currently approved and recognised methods as well as novel/ commercial methods covering pathogens, indicator and food spoilage organisms.


You will be a truly passionate food microbiologist experienced with supervising and managing accredited laboratories and developing and implementing quality systems.


You should have experience of auditing and previous experience of auditing quality systems and have good working knowledge of retailer specific requirements for approvals. 


Holding a full and clean driving licence you will also be experienced in driving to and from multiple sites for business purposes and have experience of interacting at the highest levels.


You should have truly impeccable decision-making skills based on data and be willing to defend your decisions at all levels.
